Community of Silence (2017-2019)
Community of Silence by gimhongsok is a work of 12 human figure sculptures depicting sleeping people of various ages and occupations such as college students, trainers, truck drivers, and famous movie stars. By exposing the realm of sleep as an intimate human activity to others, the artist's work raises numerous questions about social status, gender, and occupation. This work invites viewers to face uncomfortable truths and engage in profound reflection.
